Deth P. Sun

This is a print that I just bought. The artist's name is Deth P. Sun, and he does his work out of Oakland. I first came across his stuff in an exhibition at the Giant Robot store in the Upper Haight. All of his stuff uses these seemingly simplistic characters that nevertheless express a huge amount of information. Check him out at: dethpsun.com

Ginger Ninjas

This was a graphic design project that I did for my friend's band as they toured around on their bikes in Alaska.

Duality

This is a photograph that I did while waiting for Kate to come back from her paddle at Pleasure Point. I swear that the only thing that I did in photoshop was increase the saturation on the entire photograph... It gives the duality of the Santa Cruz weather a pretty stark contrast.

the Beginning

So this is the beginning... I'm going to use this site to both showcase my art and drive myself to produce. I'll also try and reference other pieces that I think are particularly great and who knows what else down the road. The above drawing was somthing that I did from a couple of pictures of my cousins jumping off of a sand dune when we were kids. We used to run off of the grassy cliff above and leap as far out as possible, landing softly, if not smoothly, on the steep sandy surface below. These pictures are especially important to me, since one of my cousins has since passed away.
